Well, a Mac is definitely not a reason to avoid a company. However, I do see Linux-based software for compliance and security. I agree that CTO's might be happier with a simpler choice. Adjusting to multiple OS'es gets difficult. When you build muscle memory and remember shortcuts for your work laptop (Mac) and then return home to find yourself pressing the Alt key instead of Ctrl in Linux. I've often wanted to build a "Jarvis" which would seamlessly handle OS nuances.
