Sure, if you like it, please use it. That's what I mentioned in the beginning. Try using one of the recent Macbooks too. Other laptops last long too. Besides, there's the modular Framework laptop coming up. Not yet available in my country though. Even cheap laptops have lasted more than 8 years.
