"A senior position at one company or on one team might be totally different than a senior position elsewhere".
This. I've seen juniors humiliating a newly joined senior because the senior wasn't familiar with the desktop tools and server-side tools everyone in the company used. After a point of time it gets annoying to memorize a whole new set of manual steps of using some badly created tool. The hustle-culture in companies makes it worse, where you are expected to burn yourself out to learn this while being expected to be as efficient as the "senior" salary you are being paid. This is why I wrote about using English as a programming language (and hopefully as a command language to get tools to work by just telling them what needs to be done).
